Those who come to regret it are those who neglect serious study in the beginning and rush helter-skelter to get to the top. At any rate, the men of the day are men of one day, but anyone who has so much faith and love that he takes pleasure precisely in what others think tedious, namely the study of anatomy, perspective and proportion, they remain, and mature slowly but surely.

신념과 사랑을 갖고 꾸준히 노력할 때, 느리지만 확실히 자기 세계를 완성할 수 있다고 한 말을... 인생 전체를 통해 보여준 고흐의 삶 자체가 작품으로 느껴진다.
